The Power to Connect:

Dark Cloud / White Light is a fully immersive, multi-media art installation. It combines time-lapse, photography, landscape art and sound to create an intimate experience of awe and wonder.

A dramatic day-in-the-life of 10 epic New Zealand landscapes, told through innovative 24-hour time-lapse photography, connects people with the breathtaking natural surroundings of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Viewers become mesmerised by the pristine New Zealand wilderness as the work seamlessly transcends from day to night and back to day - a technique known as the ‘Holy Grail’ of time-lapse photography.

In New Zealand (population 4.6 million) over 130,000 people experienced the exhibition in just 4 months of exhibiting. Media coverage exceeded 1 million with both major TV networks covering the installation as well as a front page articles in NZ’s largest news & entertainment websites.

A behind the scenes documentary (exhibiting alongside the artworks) shows the remarkable journey Michael embarked on to capture the work over two years.
